Along with a bemused inquiry as to why the door frame from the third floor lobby in the Living and Learning Center is missing, Baker University Student Senate members at the March 31 and April 6 meetings further discussed how to use remaining funds.
Since there’s almost $3,000 left over from the year’s budget, student senate is looking to support student organizations and various causes with the residual money.
“We cannot only help individual groups, but also others that are a part of the Baker community,” treasurer Andrew Krevins said. “We are trying to support things that will provide the biggest bang to Baker students. We don’t like to have any money left.”
In addition to discussion surrounding the budget, student senate also unanimously approved the motion to recognize Active Minds, a group that plans to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental disorders.<br/>&#160;
