The Baker University Student Education Association hosted an information panel Thursday made up of the Kansas Teacher of the Year nominees.
The eight nominees, including the winner of the Teacher of the Year, attended the session, which was open to all Baker University students and staff.
“It is great to get the chance to hear from teachers who have accomplished so much,” Clayton Alexander, president of BUSEA, said. “We are able to learn a lot by hearing them speak about their experiences and asking them questions.”
The Kansas Teacher of the Year is Karen Tritt, a foreign language teacher at Shawnee Mission West High School.
