Have you ever wondered what it would be like to participate in after-class activities? Baker University offers over 20 clubs and organizations that welcome new members. Some of the clubs featured on campus include the Art Club, Baker Serves, Gaming Society (BUGS), BRAVE, Care and Compassion, and various intramural sports.
Campus Clubs
The Art Club provides a creative space for all students to relax, have fun, and explore different art mediums. Each meeting focuses on a specific medium, allowing members to create unique pieces based on that theme. No experience is required to join. Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., and students can join through the GroupMe link in the club’s Instagram bio (@artclub_bakeru).
Baker Serves is a service organization that coordinates community service projects on campus and around Baldwin City. Examples include highway cleanups and writing notes to senior citizens. Students interested in joining can follow @baker_serves on Instagram for meeting updates.
The Baker University Gaming Society (BUGS) is a group for students who enjoy playing games and socializing. Meeting information can be found on Instagram (@baker_b.u.g.s).
The Care and Compassion Club is responsible for the encouraging sticky notes posted around campus. Their mission is to spread positivity and kindness within the Baker community. Students can follow @bu_ccclub on Instagram for updates about upcoming meetings.
The Chapel Ambassadors serve as role models and assist with running chapel services every Thursday. They also participate in mission trips connected to the United Methodist affiliation. Reverend Blake Standwood is still in the works of revising the ambassador program, but students interested in joining may contact Rev. Blake Standwood for more information.
The Student Activities Council (SAC) organizes fun and engaging events throughout the academic year. SAC hosts weekly and monthly activities designed to bring students together. Upcoming events include Fruit Pizza Day (October 8), Bob Ross Paint Night (October 22), and Trivia Night (October 23). You can stay up to date on all SAC activites by following @bu_sac on Instagram.
Mungano is a diverse student organization dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and understanding both on campus and in surrounding communities. Check them out on Instagram @munganobu if interested!
Total Equality Alliance (TEA) provides a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ students and allies, encouraging open self-expression and inclusion. If you are interested in joining, click the link in the @bakerutea bio on Instagram.

Honor Societies and Greek Life
In addition to clubs, Baker University offers several honor societies that recognize academic excellence. These include honor societies for World Languages, Business Administration, Economics, Freshmen, Education, Psychology, and Spanish. Students may also choose to participate in Greek life, which includes three sororities and four fraternities.
Intramural Opportunities
In addition to clubs and organizations, Baker University offers several intramural sports, including cornhole, kickball, basketball, and volleyball. Information about intramurals is communicated by the Director of Student Life, Gavin Curless, through student email.
