The women’s soccer team split a pair of home games Saturday and Sunday against Oklahoma Christian University and Buena Vista University.
The Wildcats lost to Oklahoma Christian 2-0.
“We were having an off day,” senior Emily Burks said. “I thought we dominated the first half and had more control and more shots, we just couldn’t finish the opportunities we had.”
The team bounced back Sunday, however, and beat Buena Vista 5-0 to improve its record to 5-3 on the season. Junior Christine Janssens netted two goals to lead the team.
“The game Sunday was definitely an uplifting one,” Burks said.
Baker travels to Central Methodist University for its first conference matchup of the season at 5 p.m. Saturday.
