After five close games, the Baker University volleyball team barely snuck by Missouri Valley College Tuesday.
Junior Brooke Pryor’s 19 kills led BU to a 3-2 victory against the Vikings. In the deciding fifth game, the Wildcats found themselves in a hole, losing 13-11, before rallying to tie the game 14-14. From there on BU took control to prevail 17-15.
Freshman Jana Boss led the ‘Cats with 54 assists while sophomore Brooke Allen collected 35 digs.
Head coach Kathy Allen said the team had an off-night but still found a way to win.
“I think it’s a way of realizing that you can’t overlook anybody in our conference and everyone in the conference is capable of upsetting anybody else,” Allen said.
BU improved to 25-3 and 5-1 in the HAAC. The team will take on Central Methodist University at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Collins Center.<br/>&#160;
