Entering her fifth year as the men’s and women’s tennis coach, Regan Dodd will watch her first self-recruited and coached teams compete as the short fall tennis season begins Sept. 6 .
“I feel fortunate that my first recruiting class is such a great group of kids,” she said. “I don’t want to put pressure on them, but this could be a great year – the year to remember,” she said.
The women’s team has three incoming freshmen and one transfer.
Senior Marti Eidson said the changes to the team have not seemed to be a problem.
“I would say that we’re a pretty solid team this year,” she said. “Everybody’s getting along.”
On the men’s side, only two new players have joined the team.
Senior co-captain Jose Mota said he feels confident about the upcoming season.
“I’m excited for the two guys who are coming. They’re going to bring a lot of talent to the team,” Mota said.
