The Baker University men’s soccer team improved its record to 2-0-1 after notching a shutout win and a 0-0 tie over the weekend.
The ‘Cats shut out Missouri Baptist University and netted three goals. Senior captain Matt Germain and freshman Nick Aguilar notched their first goals of the season early in the match on Saturday. The other tally came on an own-goal for Missouri Baptist.
“We came out pretty well once we got used to the foreign environment,” head coach Nate Houser said.
The men drew McKendree on Sunday, 0-0, to conclude the road trip.
“It took us a while to get used to the pace of play and we didn’t quite play to our standard,” Houser said.
The men's soccer squad is No. 8 in the NAIA Top 25. <br/>&#160;
