All students, faculty and staff who signed up last year to receive B-Alert text, voice and e-mail messages as part of Baker University’s campus safety notification system will be dropped from the database May 31 and asked to reapply.
Dean of Students Cassy Bailey said every year at a designated time the database is emptied and those interested have the opportunity to sign up again.
“The purpose is to remove any staff or faculty who are no longer with the university or students who may have graduated,” Bailey said.
After the drop is made, people who are interested can sign up again beginning June 1 by following a link sent to them via campus e-mail.
The university will make a full campaign asking people to reapply during the upcoming summer and fall enrollment periods.
