After playing two top-25 teams in two games, the Baker football team travels to Avila University Saturday in search of its HAAC win.
The Eagles have never beaten the Wildcats, going 0-8 all-time against Baker.
“Anybody we play right now is going to be part of our process of getting on track,” head coach Mike Grossner said. “We will get it righted. There’s a lot of football to be played. The urgency is there. It’s not a panic, but the urgency’s there.”
Avila is 1-1 to start the year after beating Doane College 9-6 in its season opener and losing to MidAmerica Nazarene University 56-13.
The Eagles have had two weeks to prepare for this game, with a bye week last week, while Baker’s bye week comes next week.
The two teams met in the final game of the regular season last year, with Baker winning 43-9.<br/>&#160;
