The Baldwin City Police Department released a statement Tuesday afternoon with information regarding an incident at Irwin Hall early Sunday morning.
Multiple bullets were shot through the glass portion of the north door of the dormitory at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday, but no one was hurt.
Baker University is offering a $1,000 reward for “information that leads to a conviction regarding the incident.” The press release also stated Douglas County Crime Stoppers may also be offering a reward for information given through its Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline. The number for the hotline is 785-843-8477.
The police department’s statement said eyewitness accounts described the gunman as “a short, white subject, wearing a dark, ‘bomber’-style jacket.” The gunman got into the passenger seat of a vehicle resembling a Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable and left the scene.
