The men’s golf team didn’t let the winter-weather conditions stop it from grabbing the first place title at its last tournament of the season October 7 and 8.
The team fell behind on the first day of play, but was able to come back the second day and take the win. Senior Zack Rockey placed third individually while freshman Mason Dick finished in fifth place.
Rockey said he hopes the men can carry that momentum on into the spring semester.
“Everybody played well,” Rockey said. “We had two guys in the top five and then our team won, so I think we are going to hopefully take that and move it into the spring and hopefully perform pretty well next semester too.”
For now, the men will take a short break and then continue practicing through the winter season in preparation for spring play.<br/>&#160;
