I like foods that are simple, yet different. Something not many have had before, but that I can promise is delicious.

These qualities are found in barbecue cups, an awesome recipe my mom and I stumbled across years ago in a children’s cookbook titled “Kids in the Kitchen.”

The cookbook is full of simple recipes children can make by themselves or with an adult.

So, I figured if a child can do it, it’d be a good one to share with my fellow college students, some of who may have the cooking skills of a child.

Barbecue cups are like muffins for dinner – awesome muffins. They’re quick and easy to make, can serve as a meal by themselves, or a snack and make great leftovers.

One of my favorite things about this dish is that it’s something that can please anyone and everyone.

With ingredients that offer a little bit of everything, these are great to serve as appetizers to a group.

Barbecue sauce, shredded cheese, brown sugar, biscuits and ground beef combine to make this tasteful treat.

They combine to make an explosion of taste in your mouth.

OK, maybe not an explosion, but they’re really good.

One of the most fun things about this recipe is that it’s made in muffin tins.

One biscuit is pressed into each muffin hole. After the beef is browned, it is mixed with the brown sugar and barbecue sauce to create a sweet concoction.

The mixture is then spooned onto the biscuits and cheese is sprinkled on top.

Now, doesn’t that sound easy? The most difficult part is browning the hamburger and even that’s cake.

So, if you’re looking for a simple dish that is sure to please everyone, barbecue cups are the way to go.
