Junior soccer player Matt Griffin was recognized for his work on the field as he was honored with the third-team All-American award in the NAIA division this year.
Voted on by coaches throughout the country, Griffin was recognized for his defensive abilities on the field during the 2009 season.
Griffin said the All-American title has been a long-time goal throughout his soccer career.
“Honestly the award is probably one of the biggest things that I could ever achieve, but I do know there is still some growing room for me,” Griffin said.
With another year left in his Baker soccer career, Griffin is excited to work hard toward another year of success.
“I’ve been playing soccer for my entire life and it goes back to show me that all my efforts and time I have given are being rewarded,” Griffin said.
