College and defeated Lindenwood University 1-0 Saturday.
Baker clinched the double-digit mark for wins, improving its record to 10-1-4 overall and 3-1-3 in the conference.
Senior Luke Haidarovic, who did not play against Missouri Valley because of a red card in his previous game, scored the lone goal in the 71st minute to break the scoreless tie.
“We have three ties right now in the HAAC so … we just need to win out the rest of our conference games,” junior Jacob Chiarelli said. “Getting the win versus Lindenwood is a positive step forward.”
Junior Alex Burton recorded his fifth shutout of the season, including four saves, which earned him the honor of HAAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Baker will take a break from conference play to take on the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a NCAA Division I team, Tuesday. The game is the fourth straight on the road for the Wildcats and will be aired on Metro Sports on Time Warner Cable.
“It’s going to be a fun game,” Chiarelli said. “Hopefully we can get the win and just keeping going on this run.”
