Loud Noises, Baker’s improvisational comedy troupe, welcomed three apprentices and three alternates recently to begin its fourth semester.
Junior Liney Pugh and sophomores Alex Allen and Bryce Lathrop are the group’s apprentices, which is the name for new members.
Sophomore Kari Hilmes and juniors Megan Nelson and Brandi Dority are the alternates. They will fill in for those members who can’t be at a performance.
“Right now they’re just coming to our rehearsals to just get better basically and have fun,” junior Bob Linebarger, one of the founders of the troupe, said.
The group rehearses Wednesday evenings to prepare for any upcoming performances it may have.
“Basically, we just kind of take gigs when they come,” Linebarger said. “But, we do have one set performance, which is usually at the end of the year sometime around the start of finals.”
Loud Noises has a total of eight members and three alternates.
