Baker students and faculty will have the opportunity to experience some uplifting songs of praise at the annual Gospel Extravaganza.
Senior Di-Tu Dissassa, member of the gospel choir, said the group will be performing songs such as “Souled Out,” by Hezekiah Walker, and “Imagine Me,” by Kirk Franklin.
The gospel choir is made up of eight singers, which rehearses twice a week.
Dissassa said she is not sure when the gospel choir was formed, but it has been in existence since she came to Baker.
The extravaganza will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel.
"I think this is a good event for students to attend because they will get to hear really good gospel music," Dissassa said. "It will be fun too and everyone will get to see their peers." <br/>&#160;
