As Thanksgiving break is quickly approaching, Baker University students should be dreaming about turkey and stuffing, but unfortunately most of us are probably dreaming of final papers and projects.
Back in August when we started the semester and got our syllabuses, we saw that we had until after Thanksgiving break to get our major work done. We probably thought to ourselves, “Wow, I’ll have plenty of time to work on that before then.” Now the time has come to finally turn in the work we had practically a whole semester to work on, and we’re realizing instead of working as the semester went along, we’ve procrastinated and now only have Wednesday through Sunday to try to complete a whole semester’s amount of work.
While most of us will probably spend our Thanksgiving breaks working on homework, it’s important not to forget the true cause of the break.
Sure, your family members might be weird, but try to take some time to bond with them. Try to catch up on some sleep before you pull that all-nighter the day before we get back. Go out and participate in the shopping sales. That should make you appreciate the quietness of Baldwin City. Most of all, take some time to relax because after all, that’s why it’s called a break.
