Members of the dance team and cheer squad performed, and the football captains spoke at the pep rally Friday night in Collins Center.
Although Emily Beye, student activities council president, wished there would have been more students at the event, but she was still pleased with how the event turned out.
“It went fairly well, and that’s good, I guess,” she said.
The dance team performed the popular dance ‘The Hoedown Throwdown,’ by Miley Cyrus and the winners of the BU Olympics, Knowledge Bowl and skit night were announced at the rally.

The members of Phi Mu sorority and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity will wear the title of knowledge bowl winners. The team will receive 20 points for the win.
Avaree McDonald, junior and member of Phi Mu was excited about the win. She said the team didn’t have a special strategy.
“We just worked together and made sure that each time we went up we had a pretty varied team.”
Skit NightSkit Night Skit Night
Alpha Chi Omega and Zeta Chi also claimed the title as skit night winners. The team will receive 30 points for winning.
Loux said he thought the team won because of their originality and live music.
The team met after greek serenades Monday to brainstorm. Loux said that’s when senior Kyle Jones had the idea of using live music.
“We figured a lot of the other groups would be relying on recorded music,” Loux said.
He arranged ‘Dueling Banjos,’ ‘Eye of the Tiger,’ and the Baker Fight Song for himself sophomore Michael Turnbo and Jones. He said the trio practiced two or three times Thursday before they were set to perform.
