Junior Jessica Hill wasn’t a big fan of the hit television show “Dancing with the Stars” until recently.
Hill’s uncle, Steve Wozniak, is one of the celebrities that will be dancing this season.
“You think you’ve met someone smart and then you meet him,” Hill said. “It’s hard to talk to him because he’s so smart. But he’s always playing jokes on people.”
Wozniak is the co-founder of Apple and helped to design Apple’s first products, Apple I and Apple II.
In 2000, he was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and also is a New York Times’ bestselling author for his book “iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon,” which was released in 2006.
Wozniak and his wife, Hill’s aunt Janet, were married in August, but they met a number of years ago at Apple functions.
Hill’s aunt is a Baker alumna and was a member of Phi Mu sorority.
She has worked for the Apple Company for several years and recently received a promotion and moved out to the Apple headquarters in California to continue her work.
"One day my aunt was just like, ‘Oh, do you watch ‘Dancing with the Stars'?' and none of us had really watched it before," Hill said. "She said we should probably watch this season."<br/>&#160;Wozniak is paired with longtime dancer Karina Smirnoff. Wozniak is paired with longtime dancer Karina Smirnoff.

Freshman Stephanie Cowell isn’t a die-hard fan of the show, but she still enjoys watching it. Smirnoff is one of her favorite dancers.
“She’s just really good at dancing,” Colwell said. “She seems really cool.”
Freshman Megan Steward enjoys watching the show if it’s on, too. Her favorite celebrity this season is Chuck Wicks, who is paired with dancer Julianne Hough.
“I just love him,” Steward said. “He’s so amazing.”
Although Hill never has been a big fan of “Dancing with the Stars” before, she is going to make sure to catch all the episodes this season.
“My aunt made up a Facebook group and it tells you how to vote and everything and when he’ll be on. And really anyone can join that,” Hill said. “And I know my grandparents will be all excited, they think it’s really cool.”
The eighth season of the show, which airs on ABC, starts at 7 p.m. March 9.
