Faculty senate has approved two more travel interterm trips, one to China and the other to London and Paris.
Kevin McCarthy, professor of business and economics, will be hosting the China trip, which will stop in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The emphasis of the trip will be business, however, it will also include historical visits to places such as the Great Wall of China.
Assistant Professor of Biology Erin Morris and Brett Knappe, assistant professor of art history, also will be hosting a group traveling to London and Paris to study the arts and sciences.
Travel interterms are a way for students not wanting to travel abroad to visit a different country and experience the history of other cultures around the world.
“I think the power of international travel is something that we really recognize,” McCarthy said. “It can be transformative.”
