Members of Delta Delta Delta sorority will be serving up a philanthropic meal Wednesday at the first Delta House of Pancakes.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., students can either pay $5 at the door or provide five addresses for people who can be contacted for further donations.
Philanthropy chairman Marlee Johnson said since students are often low on cash, trading addresses for pancakes allows them access to the brunch, as well as providing the sorority with more contacts.
“A lot of the girls at the house are really excited about this because it’s bringing something new and different to campus,” Johnson said. “Everyone will be studying for finals, so it’ll just give students a break in the day.”
The proceeds from the pancake brunch will go to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Delta Delta Delta plans to make the brunch an annual event.
