The Baker women’s basketball team took a three-game losing streak into the final home game of the season Thursday against MidAmerica Nazarene University.
MidAmerica Nazarene won the game 64-50.
Baker traveled to Avila University Monday for a rescheduled game that was postponed due to weather on Jan. 7. Avila defeated Baker 62-53 as junior Emily Gibson was the only Wildcat to score in double figures with 13 points.
“We’re just not playing for 40 minutes like I think we know how to,” head coach Susan Decker said. “That’s the frustrating part at this point and time in the season, we should be playing a little bit better than we are. But when you struggle to score like we’ve struggled to score, it makes everything else really, really glaring.”
The Wildcats lost junior Jenna Brantley for the season with a knee injury during a 66-52 loss against William Jewell College Feb. 18, before losing 59-58 against Missouri Valley College Saturday. <br/>&#160;
