The Baker men’s basketball team showcased its true scoring potential in a 102-95 victory over Avila University Monday.
The team had five players score in double figures. Of those five, senior Malcolm Greer led the way with a career-high 29 points. As a team, the ‘Cats shot more than 50 percent from the field, leading the men to a season-high game total.
“I think we really showed that we could have been a force to be reckoned with earlier on in the season, especially after all the injuries we had,” Greer said.
The team played its last home game of the season Thursday against MidAmerica Nazarene University. MidAmerica Nazarene won the game 78-70 in head coach Rick Weaver’s final home game of his Baker career.
