Baker’s theater department premiers “Dracula” Thursday in Rice Auditorium.
The play will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
The show is the original script that was written in 1926 and revised in 1950. Tom Heiman, assistant professor of theater and director of “Dracula,” said there are some moments in the play that will really scare the audience.
“If we can pull it off with all of the smoke and fog machines, the scene shifts should even give you the creeps,” Heiman said. “The theater just changes with all of the creepy music and smoke floating around.”
Heiman said the cast has been working on the play since the first week of the semester and is really excited to finally show off the final piece.
“I just hope that the audience has a good time,” Heiman said. “Of course, I would like for the audience to also get a good scare from the production.”
