Randy Pembrook, special assistant to the president for accreditation and academic affairs, will be leaving Baker to take a position at Washburn University in Topeka.
University President Pat Long sent an e-mail to the Baker community Thursday announcing Pembrook’s new position as Washburn’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, which he will begin in early January.
“Dr. Pembrook’s academic leadership, wise counsel and wide-ranging initiatives have been influential across Baker’s four schools,” Long said in the e-mail. “The University has faced some difficult decisions over the last two years and Randy proved to be a compassionate and astute guide during many of our institutional challenges.”
Long said a reception celebrating Pembrook’s time at Baker will be held in December.
