It is almost time for senior Molly Schmeidler and Baker graduate Andrew Linenberger to pass on their crowns to a new homecoming king and queen.
Director of Student Life Brett Bruner announced via email Friday who the top five homecoming king and queen candidates were.
The queen candidates are senior Kayla Anderson, Lee Ann Michel, Stacy Yowell and juniors Dana Loveland and Brittni Sayers. Anderson was nominated by Baker Vniversity Lifeless Langvage Association, or BVLLA, Michel was nominated by Delta Delta Delta sorority, and Yowell was nominated by Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Loveland was nominated by Cardinal Key Honor Society and Sayers was nominated by Alpha Mu Gamma foreign language honor society.
The king candidates are seniors Will Duncan, Adam Lackey, Justin Lane, Eric Reimer and junior Kyle Baum. Duncan was nominated by Zeta Chi fraternity, Lackey was nominated by Cardinal Key honor society and Lane was nominated by Up ‘til Dawn. Reimer was nominated by Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and Baum was nominated by the Student Activities Council.
Students will be able to vote for the homecoming queen and king during Homecoming Week, which is scheduled for Oct. 17-21. The winner will be announced during halftime of the football game Oct. 22 at Liston Stadium. The game, against Culver-Stockton College begins at 1 p.m.
