It’s really based on how they perceive sororities and what they want out of a sorority. So, it really wasn’t me asking them to join, it was them asking me, ‘can I be part of what you’re a part of?’
Before the other members joined, did you already know them? Before the other members joined, did you already know them? Before the other members joined, did you already know them?
Yes, I knew (junior) Amanda (Sams). Back when she was in elementary school, she played softball with my little sister and my dad was her softball coach. So, just, that’s really the only thing, but all of us are from about the same area.

The overall competition that there is on campus as far as sororities go; it’s pretty difficult. Maintaining the name and the image of what kind of sorority we are, it’s not been difficult but it’s a challenge.
Does it bother you that Zeta Phi Beta is the smallest sorority on campus or does it motivate you?Does it bother you that Zeta Phi Beta is the smallest sorority on campus or does it motivate you? Does it bother you that Zeta Phi Beta is the smallest sorority on campus or does it motivate you?
It doesn’t bother me, but it makes us more individual and it just sets us apart from what everybody thinks the norm is to be in a sorority.
Do you think the bond among the members of Zeta Phi Beta would be greater if you had a house?Do you think the bond among the members of Zeta Phi Beta would be greater if you had a house? Do you think the bond among the members of Zeta Phi Beta would be greater if you had a house?
No, I don’t think having a house makes a difference. I think that the style of sorority and the intake process that we undergo forms the bond that makes us sisterly in each other. So, I don’t think anything outside of that would really influence a bond between us.
What’s one of your favorite parts or favorite memories of being in Zeta Phi Beta? What’s one of your favorite parts or favorite memories of being in Zeta Phi Beta? What’s one of your favorite parts or favorite memories of being in Zeta Phi Beta?
Just being able to leave a mark, I guess, on campus and ensuring that the sorority didn’t die after the original seven members started. But, I guess the best thing would just be being part of greek week and Homecoming and being able to interact with all the other fraternities and sororities.
