The Baker University men’s soccer team had its fair share of success this season, and the individual awards have kept piling up for some Wildcats.
Juniors Ethan Bauer and Nate Byarlay were recognized as notables on the Tourbeau Sports Group Top 40 Professional Prospects List, along with senior Tom Lowndes as an honorable mention.

The list was announced after the Wildcats went undefeated during the regular season and made a run nationally that led to a trip to the Final Four.
“An award like that is really a testament to my teammates, too, for working extremely hard,” Byarlay said.
Tourbeau Sports Group commented on the talent of both players, by tagging Bauer as a “tremendous asset to the Wildcat squad” and giving Byarlay the “hidden hero” award.
Byarlay and Bauer both believe the awards are a great accomplishment, but they both agree there are still goals to achieve at BU.
“I’ve got a long ways to go before anything with professional aspirations can really transpire,” Bauer said. “We really just want to bring home that national championship.”
These honors cap off a postseason that was record-setting for the Wildcats. Byarlay and sophomore Matt Bickley were named as NAIA All-Americans along with eight others who were selected as All-Heart of America Athletic Conference players.
