The Baker University Cat Pack is continuing to grow since the group’s creation in the fall semester. The student-led organization’s purpose is to attend and support all sporting events at Baker.
Junior Aaron Caldwell is one of the leading members of the group and has been making an effort to get more students involved in sports on campus. He believes whether it is attending wrestling duals or basketball games, the point of the Cat Pack is to bring a loud and supportive student section to each university sporting event.
The group runs on a point system in which each game or match is worth a certain amount of points for the members who attend. At the end of the semester, the students with the most points have a chance to win prizes.
As of Wednesday, there are 25 members of the Cat Pack. The group is currently in an organization stage of working with current students to be more of a unit during sporting events, however Caldwell said the ultimate goal is to have 40 active members by the end of the spring semester.
“Overall, the Cat Pack is more about getting involved and about having more fun at sporting events,” Caldwell said.
