I like food, so it’s tough for me to try to narrow down my favorite type of soul food. I really like grains and cornbread. My granny’s grains. My granny makes the best grains ever made, ever. So I really enjoy that. Some good barbecue; you never can go wrong with that. I would definitely say grains and cornbread are probably my favorite.

This is pretty neat for me because as a student I went to the conference, and for me to come back to serve as an adviser, I get to go back. I went to Baker for five years. I went to (the University of Missouri), (University of Oklahoma), (Kansas State University), (University of Colorado) and Iowa (State University). So I went as a student. It was a very, very positive experience for me, so it’s a big reason why I’ve taken the leadership the way I’ve taken to it and last year I took our students to the University of Missouri and next week we’re going to University of Oklahoma.
Were you involved in any groups like Mungano when you were in high school or college? Were you involved in any groups like Mungano when you were in high school or college? Were you involved in any groups like Mungano when you were in high school or college?
In high school, I was involved in a community service type organization that was branched off of a local historically black sorority in town and basically we just went to conferences and had community service activities. In college, I’m a Baker graduate, so in college I was very much involved in Mungano. I was president for a year; I served as treasurer for two years, so I was very involved.
