The Baker University softball team guaranteed itself the sixth seed in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament by sweeping Missouri Valley University on Wednesday in Marshall, Mo. Baker University students staying in Baldwin City for the summer will need a place to live, and students are looking on campus and off. One option is to make arrangements to stay on campus. The number of students interested in living in the apartments for the summer has grown from 12 students last year to 30 students this year.

Baker University 2005 graduate Brooke Glenn tried out and made the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleading squad this month.?? Glenn graduated from Baker with a major in biology and a minor in psychology and is currently enrolled at the Baker School of Nursing in Topeka, she said.

Exon wins top award for coaches

The Baker University women's golf team finished its season on Tuesday by placing second in the Heart of America Conference Tournament and third in the Region V tournament, which was held in O'Fallon, Mo. Head coach Karen Exon said the team played up to expectations in both tournaments.

After the theft of more than 1,000 copies of the April 7 issue of the Baker Orange, censorship was the main topic of discussion at Tuesday's Baker University Student Senate meeting. President Ryan Boyer closed the meeting to senators only before a discussion was held on whether student senate would pass a resolution against censorship.

From going to work together, eating lunch together and ending the day together, several couples said they can't get enough of each other. The Baker University men's and women's track teams competed against some of the nation's top athletes this past weekend at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence. Junior Brent Randle led the charge for the men's team, placing ninth in his best event, the triple jump, with a leap of 15 meters.
