Alyssa is a senior studying Mass Media at Baker University. She is from Navarre, Fla., but calls Lawrence, Kan. home. She spends her free time hanging out with her two dogs, Sunshine and Tater Tot, and three cats, Affogato, Noodles and Muenster.

Baker's Humanities Department hosted "Haunted Humanities" in Collins Library, Rice Auditorium, Parmenter Hall and Old Castle on Oct. 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests were greeted by a ghost inflatable, as well as the library's inflatable dragon, Doug Drax, dressed up as a ghost.

Baker University has entered an agreement with the Madl family to purchase The Lodge Motel located at 502 Ames St in Baldwin City, Kan. Baker has plans to renovate The Lodge Motel into student housing and is set to have students move in for the fall semester.
