Ravens soar past BU 76-53

The Baker University men’s basketball team fell to 2-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a 76-53 loss to No. 15 Benedictine College Thursday in Atchison.

BU’s defense was unable to contain the Ravens as they shot 47 percent from the field and made 11 from behind the arc.

Sophomore Manuel Barnes was Baker’s offensive spark, leading the Wildcats with 15 points off the bench. While BU shot just 34 percent from the field, the team was able to make 18-22 from the free-throw line.

Baker returns to Collins Center against Culver-Stockton College at 4 p.m. Saturday. C-SC also stands at 2-2 in the HAAC but is 11-3 on the season.
