Baker Football beats Peru State 33-3

Baldwin City had an exciting weekend at Liston filled with lots of family and Baker fans. Family day was in full swing on Saturday, Sept. 18, with student life tailgating and concession stand snacks as fans awaited the start of the game.

The Baker Wildcats started the game with a 0-3 deficit but JD Woods was quickly able to extend his current record with another touchdown to make it 7-3 at the end of the first quarter.

With touchdowns from Tanner Cobb and JD Woods, the Wildcats were able to extend their lead to 20-3 at the beginning of the fourth quarter with two more touchdowns from JD to make the final score 33-3.

After a tough loss, Baker was able to bounce back this weekend to make their current record 3-1. They will play again September 25 against Clark University in Dubuque, Iowa.
