Baker Cheer and Dance finish in Second at the DTU College Classic and Third in NAIA Dance Nationals
The Cheer and Dance teams placed second at the DTU College Classic. Dance got a score of 89.00 in the team performance, and Cheer got a score of 79.90 in the All-Girl division. Baker placed third in the Jazz category and fourth in the Hip Hop category. The Dance team took third place in the NAIA Dance Championship, and both Dance and Cheer saw top four finishes at the Heart Cheer and Dance Championship.
Men’s Basketball wins first National NAIA Tournament game in school history
After a successful regular season which saw the men’s basketball team go 23-10 and get to the Heart of America Conference Championship. The team got into the NAIA National Tournament as the ten seed and got their first National Tournament win as a program over Southwestern Assemblies of God University 74-71.
Kinsey Miller Awarded Heart Bowler of the Year
Women’s bowling took home another bowler of the year award in the Heart of America Conference. Senior Kinsey Miller was awarded the honor after helping lead the women’s team to the top seed in the Heart of America Conference. This honor has been awarded to a Baker women’s bowler for five straight seasons now.
Malachi Karibo places third in NAIA National Men’s Wrestling Tournament and earns second straight All-American honors in men’s wrestling
Senior Malachi Karibo earns third place finish in the NAIA National Men’s Wrestling Tournament. With this placing he also earned his second straight All-American honors. Karibo went 5-1 in his sets to earn third and improved his placement in the tournament this year going from fourth to third. Baker would end up placing 25 in the National Tournament getting 19 points.
Women’s golf sees Paula Martin-Montero and Reagan Kauth earn All-American honors after Baker placed fourth in Conference Championship
At the Heart of America Conference Tournament for women’s golf, Baker’s team placed fourth place with Junior Paula Martin-Montero getting eighth place and Freshman Reagan Kauth placing 13. Both golfers would also earn All-Conference honors for the year.
Five Wildcat softball players earn All-Conference honors
The Softball team went 32-12 in the regular season and clinched the number two seed in the Heart of America Conference Tournament. Seniors Savannah Bray, Mary Grace Hess, Riley Phillips, sophomore Kira Baker, and freshman Madi Ball were awarded All-Conference Honors for their seasons. Baker earned back-to-back first team honors alongside Bray and Grace Hess, while Phillips and Ball earned second team honors on the year.
Three women’s wrestlers earn All-American honors after all three finish top eight in the NAIA National Championship. Katherine Heath, Janell Avila and Elisa Robinson came away with the honors.

Senior Elisa Robinson and Freshman Jannell Avila placed seventh and eighth at the tournament.
John Scarpa earns Esport player of the week honors in Rocket League after performance against Clarke
In the first year of Heart of America Conference Rocket League, Junior John Scarpa earned the final player of the week honor in the Heart of America season after his performance against Clarke University. Scarpa led the Wildcat Rocket League team to their third win of the year scoring five goals in the series sweep.
