Spring and interterm enrollment is nearing, and now is the time for students to start preparing for the hectic pre-enrollment period. Pre-enrollment begins at midnight on Monday and extends through Nov. 10. During this time, students will be able to compose their spring schedules, as well as select their desired interterm course online.

Creating awareness of political issues on the Baker University campus has become a main goal of the Young Democrats organization, which meets at 6 p.m. every Wednesday. Typical concerns of the Young Democrats include women's health, environmental issues and the election process, which will be taking place soon for the mid-term elections.

Fitness facilities advance

Earlier this week, workers finished laying the new flooring in the weight room, and all equipment should soon be back in its original location. Instructor of Physical Education Regan Dodd said the only thing left to do is to move all of the equipment in Mabee gym downstairs to the weight room, which will take some coordination with one of the athletic teams.

Eight women will begin a journey Sunday that will change the face of the Baker University greek system. The eight founding members of Baker's chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, a national historically black sorority, will begin the intake process on Sunday, which will then last ten days, Director of Greek Life Bryan VanOsdale said.
